Every family has its own unique social system and structure, as well as its own patterns of communication. These patterns are determined by many things, including family values, the individual personalities of all family members, parental belief systems, and the influence of the extended family, which may include friends, in addition to relatives and adopted family members. Each family develops its own unique personality because of these variables.
The Family Therapists at Sonoma County Counseling join with your family on its journey towards a more healthy and balanced life together. In order to do this we use a strength based approach and are more interested in promoting the positive (what is working!) than in the perpetuation of blame and shame.

Sonoma County Counseling therapists assist you and your family in developing ways to handle conflicts within the family differently; strengthening all family members so they can work on their problems together and develop strategies to resolve them. We make every attempt to work with the values and belief systems, which are unique to your family!
